Do I need stitched-thru boots?Updated a year ago

Stitching is what holds boots together before the advent of adhesives. In all our boots, 90% of the bond strength is the glue. Stitching, to be perfectly honest, is more ascetic than it is functional. You will notice that many of our "thicker" boots don't have sole stitching at all. The soles are just glued, nailed, and/pr screwed on. For boots which have stitching all the way through the sole, even though the thread wears on the bottom, there is still tensile strength from the thread remaining through all the layers. Our design to stitch through vs not stitch through is determined by the thickness of the materials, the type of leather, and the type of sole material, so it is not available on every model we offer.
